Well, first of all I would like to say it’s a pleasure to be alive in today’s ever changing world of technology. As we contemplate the picture above one can see that without a doubt we have come a long way in the last 20 years. The smart phone industry has taken the entire world by storm, like all of us we sometimes resist change, but nobody can deny that we as a society are more dependent on our smart phones than ever before. How many of us have forgotten our smartphone at home and have driven back to get it even at the risk of being late for work? We are attached to the convenience of these phones and they have become part of our daily lives. I was analyzing the current evolution of marketing, how this industry is ripe for a major over hall, the current and new generation wants speed and convenience, we don’t want to read flyers and search books anymore, we’ve become accustomed to an instant 30 second decision making process of pop up advertising. I’ll give you an example, I recently asked my 13 year old daughter if she knew what a Yellow-pages was, her reply was “what’s that” to which I said ” never mind.” The fact is she is glued to her phone all day long, and she’s not the only one, we all are. This brings me to my point, mobile marketing and mobile marketing apps are here now and will be here in the future, the ability to reach people on there cell phones with timely advertising is not only important but absolutely crucial for the future of business of all kinds. It’s not just for the teens anymore it’s for all of us. Keep in mind, the teens are the current and future adult consumers in the very near future, savvy and more tech smart than ever.
